Free to use

The ceiling is the source, not the setting
The MP3 cannot sound better than the audio inside the original video. Choosing the highest setting may create a larger file without improving what you hear. For most phone videos, downloads and spoken content, 192 kbps is a reliable balance of quality and size.
What you can and cannot do with it
Extracting audio for your own listening, for reference while editing, or from material you made or licensed is ordinary use. Republishing someone else's soundtrack, or lifting a commercial track out of a video to reuse it, is not — and it is the sort of thing platforms detect automatically now. If the audio is going into something you publish, the question is whether you have the right to that recording, not whether the extraction was technically easy.
FAQ
Does it work with a video that has no sound?
No, and it will say so rather than hand you a silent file. If the source has no audio track, there is nothing to extract, which usually means the video was exported without one.
Which audio quality should I pick?
Choose 192 kbps for general use, 128 kbps for speech when file size matters, and 256 kbps or higher only when the source video already has high-quality audio.
Can I get a format other than MP3?
This page creates MP3 files because they play almost everywhere. Use the general audio converter if you need WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG or Opus instead.
Is the audio quality the same as the video's?
It should sound very close at 192 kbps for most speech and music. The source video's quality sets the limit, so a higher setting cannot restore detail that was already missing.
The conversion is the small end of it
Spira AI takes a script or a link and produces a finished short with voiceover, visuals and captions, then publishes it on a schedule. These tools are the bits you reach for along the way.
